Why Not Just Admit It, Fox?

Reuters Business Channel | Reuters.com: "President George W. Bush named Fox News Radio host Tony Snow as White House press secretary on Wednesday in his latest move aimed at giving his staff a new look and breathing new life into his presidency."

I mean, here's the thing, this is basically like saying, "Fox News does a better job of promoting me and my interests than my own administration can." Doesn't this mean that Fox is basically THE mouthpiece for this administration? Not, in fact, news?

I'll answer my own question: yes.

WTF?! Doesn't The Environment Matter At All?

Bush Eases Environmental Rules on Gasoline - Yahoo! News: "President Bush on Tuesday ordered a temporary suspension of environmental rules for gasoline, making it easier for refiners to meet demand and possibly dampen prices at the pump. He also halted for the summer the purchase of crude oil for the government's emergency reserve."

I have a solution for summer energy price problems: don't USE SO MUCH FUCKING ENERGY!! How about you not use your A/C in your house except when it's above 80 degrees? How about you try carpooling to work and maybe even the grocery store? How about you not mow your lawn to putting green length every two days?

How about you actually consider modifying your lifestyle instead of saying, "Eh, this environment thing really cramps my style: I'll just ruin it so that I can still be a fat ass lazy son of a bitch."

This is why our political system doesn't work: the only interests that end up getting satisfied are short term. This is wrong and time will prove it to be.

Finally, Some Sense and Reason

: "``Now, I think we should be concerned,'' says Inglis, who heads the U.S. House Science Research subcommittee. ``There are more and more Republicans willing to stop laughing at climate change who are ready to get serious about reclaiming their heritage as conservationists.''

U.S. companies including General Electric Co. and Duke Energy Corp. have come out in support of national limits on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse-gas emissions that scientists say contribute to global warming. They are now being joined by Republican lawmakers who have parted company with President George W. Bush on the issue."

I guess it turns out that when government is more pro-business than business is, and when government is filled with crazy relgious zealots, that the business community realizes that, "hey, holy shit, they'll just let us poison everything and kill everyone." Sadly, the jury is still out on whether that's alarming to all business or just carte blanche.

These fucking GOP SOBs are finally waking up, but the time to have done something may have already ended.

I really hate these johnny come latelys.

Our GOP Controlled Government Are Liars

Lacking Biolabs, Trailers Carried Case for War: "On May 29, 2003, 50 days after the fall of Baghdad, President Bush proclaimed a fresh victory for his administration in Iraq: Two small trailers captured by U.S. and Kurdish troops had turned out to be long-sought mobile 'biological laboratories.' He declared, 'We have found the weapons of mass destruction.'

The claim, repeated by top administration officials for months afterward, was hailed at the time as a vindication of the decision to go to war. But even as Bush spoke, U.S. intelligence officials possessed powerful evidence that it was not true.

A secret fact-finding mission to Iraq -- not made public until now -- had already concluded that the trailers had nothing to do with biological weapons. Leaders of the Pentagon-sponsored mission transmitted their unanimous findings to Washington in a field report on May 27, 2003, two days before the president's statement.

The three-page field report and a 122-page final report three weeks later were stamped 'secret' and shelved. Meanwhile, for nearly a year, administration and intelligence officials continued to publicly assert that the trailers were weapons factories."

Pro-Life, Huh?

Debate rages on use of cervical cancer vaccine / While almost 100% effective, some contend use condones teen sex: "A new vaccine that protects against cervical cancer has set up a clash between health advocates who want to use the shots aggressively to prevent thousands of malignancies and social conservatives who say immunizing teen-agers could encourage sexual activity."

Conservative positions make NO FUCKING SENSE AT ALL! They just want to control everyone so that we can all become christians.
