Because people can't help themselves. It starts with all religion being included, or at least the guise of it, or maybe not the guise of it at all. Then you start saying that it should only be this faith or that faith because they're obviously all incompatible (because they're all equally nonsensical). Then you have one group riding another out of town on a rail because they're right and you're wrong.

Religion is a social poison that allows people justification for doing awful things. It needs to be removed from government -- because government is already terrible without religion, and ends up being far worse for including it.

Only in a world where topsy turvy conservative in-your-house-anti-life-nazi's control everything would they actually be so offended by the idea of being 'outed' as a homosexual. If this were a normal country, we wouldn't even need to have any kind of discussion about this at all; no one would give a shit and would just assume that this was all sorted out and private or whatever. Unfortunately, because the Bush agenda has been to systematically assail human rights even within our own country, it is important to note to everyone that Republicans are total ideological hypocrites (too).

How about you actually consider modifying your lifestyle instead of saying, "Eh, this environment thing really cramps my style: I'll just ruin it so that I can still be a fat ass lazy son of a bitch."

This is why our political system doesn't work: the only interests that end up getting satisfied are short term. This is wrong and time will prove it to be.
